2 euro Portugal 2026 – 100th anniversary of the Rotary Foundation in Portugal

The coin commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Rotary Foundation’s work in Portugal. Rotary International is one of the largest international charitable organizations, uniting millions of volunteers worldwide. In Portugal, the organization has been implementing projects for a century aimed at supporting education, healthcare, community development, and assistance to socially vulnerable groups.

The obverse of the coin depicts a stylized planet embraced by two hands – a symbol of mutual support, unity, and caring for others. The planet is surrounded by a circle of human figures, representing the international community of volunteers united by the common goal of helping those in need.
