Coin set – Dominican Republic

The set consists of four Dominican Republic coins in denominations of 1, 5, 10, and 25 pesos. The coin series began issuing in the 1990s and is the country’s legal tender.

The obverse of the coins depicts the national coat of arms and the face value. The reverses feature national heroes and political figures of the Dominican Republic: General Gregorio Luperón on the 25 pesos, revolutionary leader Matías Ramón Mella on the 10 pesos, and the country’s founders Francisco del Rosario Sánchez on the 10 pesos and Juan Pablo Duarte y Diez on the 1 peso.
