Coin Set – Costa Rica

The set consists of six Costa Rican coins in denominations of 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, and 500 colones. The current design of these coins was introduced in the early 2000s. They are the country’s official currency.

The obverse of all coins features the Costa Rican coat of arms: three volcanoes between two oceans, ships symbolizing trade, a rising sun, and seven stars representing the country’s seven historical provinces. The reverse features a laurel branch, decorative elements, and the coin denominations.
