Coin set – Honduras

The set consists of four Honduran coins in denominations of 5, 10, 20, and 50 centavos. They are legal tender but are rarely used due to inflation.

The obverse of the coins features the national coat of arms. The reverse of the 5 and 10 centavos shows the denomination surrounded by a laurel wreath. The 20 and 50 centavos coins feature a portrait of Chief Lempira, a Honduran national hero who led the resistance against the Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century.
