Coin set – Zambia

The set consists of four Zambian coins in denominations of 50 ngwee and 1, 2, and 5 kwacha. They are legal tender.

The coin series depicts the region’s rich fauna, featuring images of the African elephant, the Zambian bearded deer, the roan antelope, and the lion. The obverse of the coins features the national coat of arms of Zambia—a shield depicting waves, symbolizing the country’s greatest natural treasure, Victoria Falls. Supporting the shield are a man and a woman, representing the people of Zambia and gender equality.
